Next is Paul Martin from Spirit of Shankly

Since when do you follow Liverpool?
I have followed Liverpool since 1986. I attended my first game when I was 3 years old!

Why did you become a Liverpool fan?
I became a Liverpool fan because my Dad used to take me to the matches at such an early age. I had my first season ticket at the age of 6 and from then I was hooked on Liverpool Football Club!

What clubs , other than Liverpool, do you support?
I don’t really support any other team, although I look out for the results of Glasgow Celtic and also AFC Liverpool.

What is your best Liverpool moment ever?
Easily my favourite moment watching Liverpool was winning the Champions League in Istanbul is 2005. I feel so lucky to have been in the crowd that evening.

Do you have any dream or wish in relation to Liverpool?
I would like to see Liverpool win the Premier League again. It seems a long way away but you never know! I would also like to see the club be owned by its supporters in a similar way to Barcelona, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.

What is your favorite Liverpool home shirt?
My favourite Liverpool shirt was the home shirt of 1990.

What is your favorite ‘all time’ shirt, other than Liverpool?
Favourite shirt of all time… it’d probably have to be the 1974 Brazil shirt.

Next up is Andrew Beasly. Andrew is a lifelong Liverpool fan and runs the blog  The Bass Tuned to Red

Since when do you follow Liverpool?
All my life really, but the 1988 FA Cup final is (unfortunately!) the first match I can remember properly.

Why did you become a Liverpool fan?
Because my dad is, though to be honest most kids at school did anyway so probably would’ve ended up supporting them either way.

What clubs , other than Liverpool, do you support?
I’m from a town called Kettering, so I support them too. Other than that I have teams I keep an eye on (Atletico Madrid, Aberdeen) but I wouldn’t say I support them as such.

What is your best Liverpool moment ever?
Has to be the 2005 Champions League final. In person, though clearly not in that league, being at the 2012 League Cup final is probably the best one.

Do you have any dream or wish in relation to Liverpool?
It’s probably the same as every Liverpool fan: a league title. It’s been far, far too long.

What is your favorite Liverpool home shirt?
Hard to pick as I think I’ve liked them all to be honest. Liverpool have had some shocking away strips down the years, but they usually get the home one right. Although the 1998/99 one wasn’t a classic, I wore it when we won the Champions League, so it has fond memories attached.

Andrew's favorite Liverpool shirts

What is your favorite Liverpool away shirt?
It would have to be the light grey Candy shirt from about 1989. I had one, and wore it all the time. I still have it somewhere…

How many Liverpool shirts do you have?
I’m not the type to buy one every year, but I probably have about six or seven from down the years.

What is your favorite 2013/14 shirt, other than Liverpool?
I’ve sat here and thought about this for a few minutes and I can’t honestly think of one! What I would say, as a former resident of Cardiff, it’s a crying shame that they’re wearing red now that they’ve finally got to the Premier League.

What is your favorite ‘all time’ shirt, other than Liverpool?
It’s hard to look past Brazil really, as it’s so iconic. Similarly on a club level, the Barcelona home shirts, before they had sponsorship, always looked great.

And last in this LFC kits article is Ian Gunniss from the LFC Boston supporters club in the USA.

Since when do you follow Liverpool?
I was born into a Liverpool family, no-one supported Everton or any other team for that matter so it was just given that I would support Liverpool, sort of a birthright. That was 1963 though I was about 5 or 6 when I vaguely remember seeing Liverpool on our old black and white telly. I do remember a derby game versus Everton back in about 1970 (we won 2-1), and I really remember the 1971 Cup Final when Arsenal beat us 2-1 in extra time (thanks Charlie George).

Why did you become a Liverpool fan?
I think I answered why in the first question. I started going to the matches in 1974 then managed to get a season ticket through someone who went to school with one of the directors. I started going with Our Tony (my cousin). He was a few years older than me and we always went on The Kop. There was always had 50-odd thousand at the games then and The Kop held about 25,000, all standing. It was magical, loud and smelly. Half the men there had come to the game after a half day at work and a few pints. It always smelled of beer, farts, and sweat.

What clubs , other than Liverpool, do you support?
None, it’s not possible is it? I follow Marine’s results, they’re a non-league team from Crosby in North Liverpool

What is your best Liverpool moment ever?
There have been several. My first great memory was beating Newcastle in the 1974 Cup Final. The whole street was decked out in red. We won 3-0 and Newcastle were the favourites because they had bandy legged Malcolm MacDonald. We hammered them. All the European Cup finals were great, 1977 against Borussia Monchengladbach was my favourite because it was the first we won. After the game all the kids were legging around our estate celebrating for hours. Our next door but one neighbour wasn’t too happy, he was a big Everton Supporter. Lastly was our 3-2 win against St. Etienne in 1977 at Anfield. I was there. It was the greatest match I’ve ever been to and the greatest crowd atmosphere I’ve ever experienced, better than going to Wembley. I went straight from a school footy match and was in my school uniform, tie and all. Istanbul was obviously amazing but I was watching it in a bar in The States, not quite the same as being at the game is it? Back in 2005 watching footy in The States was a hit and miss affair ‘cos there was always some prick hanging off a Bud Light wanting to watch baseball.

Do you have any dream or wish in relation to Liverpool?
Just to get back into what is now “The Champions League”. I’d like to see us press for a top 4 finish and this season looks like the best possibility in years. I’d also like to see the Hillsborough inquiry come to a conclusion and the guilty named. My mate Alan Johnston died there and my brother was at the game. No cell phone in these days and I was watching what was happening on the telly. I cried all day until I finally got a call from home (I lived in London then) to say he was OK. 25 years is a long time to have to wait for the government to admit the supports were not to blame. It’s a bloody travesty.

What is your favorite Liverpool home shirt?
Got to be the retro shirts, pre-sponsor days. 1977/78 Umbro red shirt with a v-neck. Simple, classy, and iconic.

Retro Liverpool kit by Ian

What is your favorite Liverpool away shirt?
Same deal as above, Umbro 1978 but in white.

How many Liverpool shirts do you have?
Errr, 3. One retro from the early 70′s, the first Warrior one from last season, but I hate collars on footy shirts, then a mate of mine bougth me this years from Florida of all places because I dropped him off and picked him up from the airport last week. It’s still in the bag, I don’t like wearing them unless I’m playing and I never would if I went to Anfield. I wear one sometimes in the pub in Boston for a bit of camaraderie with the other Liverpool lads when I’m watching the game.

What is your favorite 2013/14 shirt, other than Liverpool?
Manchester City, I look better in light blue than red so the good lady tells me. It’s a classy looking top by Nike with a cool retro look.

What is your favorite ‘all time’ shirt, other than Liverpool?
I always liked the Ajax top and for some reason QPR’s. Holland have always been able to put together a nice top, I think I bought one in Monte Carlo. No idea what happened to it.
